I finally broke down and watched "DareDevil" and noticed in the scene where he gets out of his "sleeping water coffin", he goes over and cranks up a Rotel. I think it is one of their recievers (not certain).
He's supposed to have this awesome hearing.. so does that mean Rotel is superior to everthing? I mean if he has awesome hearing and he chose Rotel....

Actually, I was really only wondering if anybody else caught that.

I caught that too and wanted to post a thing about it as I thought that Rotel sounded awsome playing through my Proceed Amp [IMG]. You do have a point in that if he with his golden ears prefers Rotel then why shouldn't everyone else.[IMG]

We had a movie night and I pointed that out. No one understood it but me. They all think I am crazy! Only someone as sick as me would have noticed the stereo equipment! Good catch.

It also sounded great through my Outlaw and Martin Logans! [IMG]

What, you mean that he didn't use Bose? I would think that those amazing sounding little cubes would be more suited for him, considering he doesn't want to bang into any huge floorstanders or electrostatic speakers.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] :p) [IMG]

I think it's kinda cool when they use gear like that in the movies. It's like who thought of that? Where did they get it? Was it just laying around in the prop department?

What about in the movie, "As Good As it Gets"?
In Jack Nickelsons apartment he has McIntosh and I think the speakers might be some high-end Sonys'. They are pyrmid-ish shape. Just an intersting touch I thought.

In "Friends" in the guys' apartment the have M Logans.

In my wife's Lilian Vernon catalog they have Adcom sitting on top of some cheesy a/v stands they sell. Was it her husbands?

Question on audio gear in movies:

Does anyone know what stuff Tom Hank's is using in Philadelphia? There is that great scene where he is just being totally immersed by an operatic piece. Since he was a lawyer I assume he had pretty nice stuff, but just can't quite make it out. Anyone?

OMG!!! That must mean that the Pronto/Marantz remote emits some sort of feedback or something that he can sense. What is that doing to the sound in my HT . . . it must be causing some interference . . . it must go!!! [IMG]

Perhaps he can see into the IR spectrum in the same manner he uses sound waves??? Might make a good question for the Marvel guys at a comic convention. [IMG]

What kind of turntable was Lara Croft using during the bungy ballet sequence? I couldn't see a name but it sure looked quite exotic.

Lara Croft had the Clearaudio Master Reference
    [IMG]
    Look familiar?

I wish they showed more that system.
I have always guessed for that size room, her unlimited budget, and obvious exquisite taste that she might have been powereing the Kharma Grand Enigma's?, their huge million dollar speaker system.

If you guys were looking at the turntable while Lara Croft is bouncing around the room you have serious issues with priorities[IMG]

Also I have a Rotel what do you think my chances with Jennifer Garner same as Daredevil's? LOL
