The latest from Lion's Gate Home Entertainment, who will release the critically acclaimed drama The Cooler on April 27th. This Oscar hopeful, which stars William H. Macy, Alec Baldwin, Ron Livingston and SAG nominee Maria Bello, comes complete with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, plus two cast and crew audio commentaries, the "Anatomy of a Scene" TV special, deleted scenes plus an alternate ending in script form, storyboards, a short film by director Wayne Kramer, and trailers. Retail will be $26.95.

I'll probably pick this title up, I just hope the cover art stays the same as the brilliant Neon Bill Macy poster art.

Count me in, too, boys. I saw this one a couple of weeks back and, yes, it was, to me, the real deal! [IMG] William H. Macy was so very good in this role, as were Maria Bello, Ron Livingston, Paul Sorvino (in his cameo role) and (EVEN MORE SO!!!! [IMG] ) Alec Baldwin. One time you truly root for the underdog to make it all the way, IMHO!!!! I look forward to this Springtime '04 DVD addition! [IMG]

I saw this movie in the theater today. Excellent movie. Everyone was great. William H. Macy, Maria Bello, and especially Alec Baldwin were terrific.

Maria Bello: I would hit it. [IMG]

I'll be picking up this sucker release day.

Ugh. That cover art stinks. Bring back the original one-sheet art.

Enjoyed the film enough to see it twice (a rarity with me given my job)

Of course, what would a DVD cover be without heads...

Wasn't able to find a theater in the burbs here playing it, so I'm glad it's coming to DVD so soon. Blind buy for sure...

EDIT: It is playing around here now-have to try and catch it...

so can someone confirm that the US R1 disc is cut or uncut? new note has been added in imdb.com page:

    UK DVD version is uncut.

I'm pretty sure the DVD is the edited version.
