I can't believe there wasn't a thread for this already but the Clone Wars will finally come to a conclusion this fall with 12 new episodes coming to Disney+.

A panel for it was held at Celebration today:

Clips include a scene from the bad batch arc, a scene with Ahsoka and new friends on level 1313, A scene where Ahsoka gets reunited with the clones, and a trailer.

They brought Ray Park back to do motion capture for Maul.

I can't wait for this to come back because I expect a lot of big 'finale' type of stuff to happen since they knew these episodes were it when they were making them.

I'd be willing to bet that it'll be a weekly release thing... much like all of their other new platform shows...

Though, nothing I've come across speaks to that as yet.

I’m pretty sure all Disney+ shows are rolled out once per week, a schedule I prefer to the Netflix/Amazon dump of an entire season at once.

I prefer once a week too. I find that binging or cramming is much like cramming for a test in school. You miss so much and don't take in all the details that you would watching it once a week or once a day.

Looking good. (I'll be caught up, too - I’m almost through season 5 now.)

I'm into the final arc of season 6, the Yoda arc. Wow. Explanations for Sifo-Dyas, force ghosts, Yoda ending up on Dagobah... It may be the most important one in terms of the overall Star Wars mythology. And ending like this has made me really look forward to Season 7.

The Clone Wars has made me appreciate the prequels much more. It elevates them way over eps 7-9 for me. Looking forward to rewatching ROTS again, after season 7 is over.

I always felt that ROTS had an appropriately grand finale (thanks in large part to John Williams and Ewan McGregor & Hayden Christensen) but The Clone Wars added so much to the prequels by getting to see more of all of the characters & live in their world for years which added to the tragedy of Anakin's fall. It's an absolutely essential piece of Star Wars.

My daughter (7yo) and I just saw Rise of Skywalker yesterday, and are working to finish up Star Wars Resistance right now (we have 4 episodes left). She's been wanting to re-watch Clone Wars, so maybe this is the season we'll watch before the new series comes out in a just under a month.

Looks really promising. STAR WARS the way it should have been done.

I’m sorry to say that I am confused as to which Clone Ears show this is.

Haven’t there been three or so over the years?

Three animated series. Clone Wars, Rebels and Resistance (there was an earlier version of the Clone Wars series that was a little different but the series proper started with the Clone Wars movie released to theaters.

This is the continuation/conclusion of the CG animated series that started back in 2008. Since Lucas was directly involved at points, the series is one of the only things that was kept as canon when they dropped all the EU/Legends stuff. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Clone_Wars_(2008_TV_series)

There was also the 2D animated ones back in 2003 and 2005 that Genndy Tartakovsky did (and aren't canon any more but are still really cool). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Clone_Wars_(2003_TV_series)

It definitely gets better as it goes, around mid season 3 starting with the Nightsisters arc, then the return of Maul, and the Mortis stuff is all really good. There are still some stinkers here and there but overall, well worth watching.
