    At Amazon they list a lot of "remastered" Clash CDs with the following info;
    Label: Sony
    Release Date: 1-25-2000
    At DVDEmpire;
    Label: Legacy
    Release Date: 1-25-2000
    What's with the different labels? Are these the same CDs? They're cheaper at DVDEmpire.
    Also, does anyone have any of these "remastered" CDs? Are they "better"?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    I have the London Calling one and it sounds fine. The Clash never represented "audiophile" quality recording, though it does sound good. Legacy is a Sony brand that they use for reissues.

    "Sony" and "Legacy" are the same thing. As Phillip said, "Legacy" is a Sony reissue brand. Some e-tailers list them as Sony, others as Legacy. Exact same discs.

    And they sound significantly better than the first CD issues, IMO.
