Most movies don't. Really, about 95% of them could be released on standard blu-ray and never miss anything if they were never released on 4K.

The fact that most content doesn't even take full advantage of 4K is why 8K sets seem like a complete waste of money.to me.

I would never not support it, as it would be an extremely interesting experiment. Robin Hood was not 2k resolution In its original release.
