May I ask what is on the Col. Sanders Christmas album? Don't think I ever saw that one. My wall was taken up with albums like "Rona Barrett Sings Hollywood's Greatest Hits," country albums by Joey Bishop and Clint Eastwood respectively, Tammy Wynette's "Your Good Girl Is About To Go Bad," and other such ephemera.
What? No Shatner? :D

It's a fairly generic compilation. The cover is the best part!

I think that regarding most of the celebrity albums, the covers were often the best part. That's why I displayed them on the store's wall.I did have some Shatner, Nimoy, and even a Nichelle Nichols album.

Here's the DVD Beaver Review of The Bubble. Unfortunately, for some bizarre reason, they've decided to review the 2D version rather than the 3D version, which seems a bit pointless. Anyway it's generally positive and they seem to understand the restoration efforts involved. The screencaps look fairly good too.

They do this for all 3D Blu-ray discs. I'm guessing they don't have a Blu-ray 3D player and/or TV.

Fun review, although I certainly don't consider the film to be "pure trash." There are plenty of other films that are more accurately described by that phrase.

Perplexed...you can buy this directly from Kino's website, but you have to "search" for it..it's not even displayed on the main page!

Philly, maybe you need a 3-D computer monitor to see THE BUBBLE on the Kino site?

Amazon is now preparing my copy for shipment. Can't wait to see it, although I'll only be able to view it in 2-D.

TV and radio legend Joe Franklin was good friends with Johnny Desmond and had some wonderful stories to share. It was an honor presenting a 3-D blu-ray of THE BUBBLE to New York's beloved "Uncle Joe."
Joe Franklin...the last remaining martyred symbol of Local Television. :(

"Having heard of his genius prior to our first meeting, I had no idea of what to expect when I met Arch Oboler.

He was a little man and when he walked in the room in a blue jump suit, thick glasses and a white construction helmet, you can only imagine what I was thinking. Within a few minutes, however, this small man became larger than life. He was a man of wisdom with a gentle spirit.

He was clearly a visionary with a genuine fascination with outer space. (How often do you meet someone who literally carries a piece of a meteor in his pocket?)

I know Mr. "O" would be deeply grateful to all those involved in the painstaking work of restoring THE BUBBLE.

I truly sense it is the marriage of art and technology.

A sincere thank you."

No, that's Arch Oboler. If you hear many of his radio plays, he likes to have the listener (viewer) use their imagination...

Ron: What a great endorsement, and how exciting to see it so highly ranked on your list!

I watched it last night (my first time ever), and The Bubble immediately took its place in the top rank of my own 3-D favorites.

Is anyone else having issues with the audio being slightly out of sync, noticably so in certain scenes? It's easily fixable with the sync delay adjustments on my Yamaha AV receiver, but I've never encountered this problem before with a Blu-Ray.

See the third post on the first page of this thread.
Thank you, Persianimmortal. I've been reading this thread every couple of days and had forgotten all about the earlier post. I am embarrassed in three dimensions.

This problem is mentioned in the original review
