I'm 90% sure it'll be out for the holidays.

But watch it be a January release now that I've jinxed it...

Universal did the same thing with The Fast And The Furious by releasing it on January 02nd 2002 instead of releasing it before the holidays.

I expect The Bourne Identity will get the same treatment from Universal.
So expect this to be released early January 2003.

Can't wait! Behind Minority Report, this is my most anticipated disc.
I'm not especially keen on the cover though. For one, Franka Potente deserves a title credit, and Matt never wears that jacket in the movie?!?

It seems Universal has been getting away from including DTS tracks on their new releases, so I'm wondering if they'll continue this trend with BI ?
I'm hoping BI gets the DTS treatment [IMG]
    Later!

Great movie, glad it's going to be a "Collector's Edition." Who would've thought that both Ben and Matt would have $100 million plus grossing spy movies just a few short years after their Oscar win for their little indie picture?

I didn't want to start a separate thread for just this one question that I asked earlier here. So........
I was wondering who here thinks Bourne Identity will have a DTS track on it ??
    Your thoughts?
    Thanks

Is it just me, or does Matt's head look too small on that body? Something just looks really off to me...

Well yeah the jacket it a winter coat so its huge, and the way his arms are positioned, his body looks even bigger. Put a winter coat on his head and it will all look good.

one of the most stupid covers I've ever seen. Looks like a bad bootleg job. The theatrical poster art wasn't genius either, but much better.

Yeah, it's a pretty mediocre cover, and as you said, the original poster work wasn't classic but WAY better than this. Considering the last 20 mins was completely re-shot there should be a wealth of deleted scenes.

Did you notice the scene where Damon offers Franka the money to take her to Paris is in a different location in the trailer (next to a canal) than it is in the film (a lane by the US embassy)?

Where is Franka Potente? This and Asia Argento's head sticking out on XXX are just atrocities. It's not fair. But I'm glad it'll be some sort of SE at least, thanks for the cover art!

I totally agree Mathias. What's so hard about leaving the original cover art? I guess a little Matt Damon wasnt enough, why didn't they just put him on the cover topless? That would have been more accurate at least!
It's like the Legends Of The Fall SE, they put Brad Pitt's clean shaven face on the cover instead of the rough look.
I know it isn't as bad as the Excalibur DVD but c'mon!

No, worst cover art ever is held by Real Genius. BAR NONE

The worst part is that the original covert art features Val Kilmer EXCLUSIVELY AND is on the insert, thereby making their mucking 100% unnecessary!

The one sheet had a better color scheme and layout. Plus, Matt's head didn't look as funny. Oh, well...
