Yeah, but that won't always be handy. Besides, there are other helpful Unicode characters. Like #248, for example.

I just received my Borg Megacube today.

The top third of the cube is hinged to open - each side has a strap that prevents the top from opening too far and probably breaking it. I am a little disappointed that the box itself isn't a little sturdier. Two corners of the top third have started to split on the corners.

Inside is a "Certificate of Authenticity" - like I needed this. This is a limited, numbered set; mine is 967 of 1000 (I feel so special :D !). Each season is in its own box set about the same size as the USA sets. They're arranged five across and one on each side of the five, with cardboard filler to fill in the spaces. I rather like these, much more than the USA versions. Each set is a split, hinged plastic box that folds down to reveal another cd-sized set containing the dvds sitting in a molded tray. I haven't unwrapped any of these yet. Oddly, six of the season sets were shrink-wrapped, but the seventh wasn't. Customs? The outer shrink-wrap was still intact.

The cube itself looks like one of those cardboard filing boxes. There's nothing that says "Star Trek: The Next Generation" except a sticker on top. Paramount should have done this much better. Still, a neat way to store seven box sets.

A Star Trek clock is also included. At first, I couldn't figure out how to remove it until I realized that the cardboard holder was perforated. Came out easy then. Just a cheap plastic clock with a Star Trek photo, nothing to get worked up about. Works.

Eventually, I will get around to actually watching these discs. Right now they're about 500th in line (at least) - I'm so far behind in my watching that I don't know why I keep buying stuff.

I would check the discs if I were you. I bought the R2 sets individually when they came out. A few cracked in the centre from the disc holders. That was last year though.

The DS9 sets are worse and has six cracked discs from the first three seasons. The disc holders are different but the outer case is made of the same plastic.

The star trek sets on their own work out at a RRP of £85 but can be got online for £58 when they come out.
