Has anyone heard anything regarding the restored version of Samuel Fuller's The Big Red One? I had read that Richard Schickel had replaced some (all?) of the edited footage, and now it is scheduled to play in a local theater. I was just wondering if I missed anything? Last I heard Warners wasn't going to revisit The Big Red One. I would love to own it. But, I don't know if the footage is in a condition that would be suitable to release on DVD, I still haven't seen it yet.
