After changing speakers 5 times in the last 8 years I have finally come to realize that I may never get the sound that I want from any current model speakers. I want as transparant a sound as is possible in a super sensitive speaker. I have been through several itterations of Infinity, Dunlavy, and Triangle. I have good things to say about all of them, but none are perfect. So I have decided to build my own. Hey, if I can get the sound I want, great, if not, at least I'll have some fun going about it.

I have tentivly decided to use vintage Altec drivers but I need to learn a lot about how to build the perfect beast.

Is there any one book or resource that is the definitive resource that any of you could suggest?

Also, any thoughts about my decision to use Altec drivers, probably something along the line of the 604 or 605's.

    Thanks
