This will be the tournament where we decide which film has the baddest motherfucker in it, as played by Samuel L. Jackson.
I will nominate the first eight films, and then we'll take eight more in discussion.
    The first eight:
    1. Pulp Fiction: Jules Winfield
    2. Jackie Brown: Ordell Robbie
    3. Shaft: John Shaft
    4. Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones: Mace Windu
    5. Unbreakable: Elijah Price
    6. Die Hard: With a Vengeance: Zeus Carter
    7. Jungle Fever: Gator Purify
    8. The Negotiator: Danny Roman
Two nominations per person, and a second required.

I'll nominate Changing Lanes (Doyle Gipson) and Rules of Engagement (Colonel Terry L. Childers).

I'll use my second on Changing Lanes.
    My nominees:
Trevor Garfield - One Eight Seven - IMO, one of his best performances ever.
Det. Mitch Hennessey - The Long Kiss Goodnight - Sam's easily the best thing in this messy action flick.

So far, A Time to Kill, 187, and Changing Lanes have been nominated. Still needing seconds are Rules of Engagement, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Eve's Bayou, Do the Right Thing, and Great White Hype.

We have five more spots to fill.

Okay, this thread doesn't look like it's going to get a lot of participants, so I think we'll start the tournament. Right now the first round looks like thus, with three films (Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and Shaft) receiving byes:
    Round One - Bracket 1
Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones (Mace Windu) vs. Great White Hype (Rev. Fred Sultan)
    Round One - Bracket 2
Unbreakable (Elijah Price) vs. The Long Kiss Goodnight (Mitch Hennessey)
    Round One - Bracket 3
Die Hard: With a Vengeance (Zeus Carver) vs. A Time To Kill (Carl Lee Hailey)
    Round One - Bracket 4
Jungle Fever (Gator Purify) vs. 187 (Trevor Garfield)
    Round One - Bracket 5
The Negotiator (Danny Roman) vs. Changing Lanes (Doyle Gipson)
First film to get 5 votes, or whichever has the most after 24 hours, moves on. Please use bolded text to indicate your votes.
Thanks, and may be the baddest motherfucker win!
