The Apu Trilogy (1 Viewer)

Hi folks! I recently purchased an all-region player (yay for me!) and I'm interested in the R2 DVDs of Satyajit Ray's Apu Trilogy. Are they of better quality than the R1 discs (which I've heard are rather lackluster)?
