Are we still going to see a double disk of My Man Flint and In like Flint as promised earlier this year. I haven't heard anything about it in a while.

Anyone know if these are still slated for release with Austin Powers 3?

When we were at Fox for the home theater meet back in September they showed us a few minutes of one of the Flint films (can't remember which) and said the films would be released when Austin Powers three was. The picture quality was very good.

I hope the recent hullaballou with MGM and the Austin Powers 3 trailer doesnt delay AP3. The trailer was very funny IMHO (with a mini-Austin), but the courts ruled that it was too close to Goldfinger and New Line had to pull it. Geez, I hope this doesnt sink the whole film. I wanna see AP3, but I'm more concerned about getting the Our Man Flint/In Like Flint double feature since the release of AP3 is tied to this DVD release.

When Fox finally releases it, I will definitely be getting it. James Coburn was a blast.

I can't wait for this double feature! I've been drooling over it since Fox showed us the box art in the double feature for Fantastic Voyage/Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea!

Looking forward to seeing these in widescreen for the first time. Let's hope Fox capitalizes on AP3. Otherwise these films may never get released.

    WHOAH!!
I completely missed that in the Fox transcript.
TOO cool. I used to watch both movies WHENEVER they came on the TV, and they've been on my "must acquire" list since my first contact with DVD.
(not to mention June is my birthday month, and a double-feature Flint set would be a wonderful gift from wife or son.... [IMG] )

I'm also really hoping the FLINT double-feature DVD finally gets released soon by Fox. A must-have item.
"This lighter has 82 different functions...83 if you wish to light a cigar..."
    "An anti-American eagle...it's diabolical!"
"I wonder what it is that makes the Rodneys always choose the WRONG side?"
    "An ACTOR as president???"
And then, of course, Paramount has the even-funnier James Coburn spy satire, THE PRESIDENT'S ANALYST (1967), languishing in their vaults. This desperately needs to have a couple of music rights issues cleared up (involving a couple songs performed on-screen by Barry "Eve of Destruction" McGuire and Clear Light), so it can finally be released in un-cut form on DVD (the original theatrical version has often aired, with all the original music intact, on various cable TV outlets, but all previous home video incarnations of the film have been edited, with some of the original music replaced by lame, generic pseudo-60s substitute tunes).
A restored PRESIDENT'S ANALYST, with commentary by Coburn (whose production company made the film) and writer-director Theodore J. Flicker, in its proper 2.35:1 Panavision ratio, is one of my holy grails of DVD. It should be yours, too. [IMG]

Looking forward to seeing these in widescreen for the first time.
Both Flint movies were released on widescreen lasers by Fox in gatefold packaging. President’s Analyst was also available on laser. Once the announcement of any of these titles is confirmed my copies are heading straight to EBay.

    Great News!

dvdfile.com is reporting that these films are just around the corner! (July 16th)

It's not clear yet whether these will be a double feature or released separately.

Yet 2 more movies for the 16th. I might have to ask for a raise in my credit limit.

I watched them today, and had a whole room full of people craking up!

You have to see these, if only to get a better understanding of Austin Powers!

    Thanks for your interest,

So Peter: will these still be a "double feature" item with both movies on two sides of one disc, or as the DVDFile blurb indicates will they be sold separately?

Nice, I love all the Flint films, every single one of 'em, I want the set.[IMG]
Yep both Our Man Flint and In Like Flint are great fun and worth having for that 60's spy-craze nostalgia, and the music by Jerry Goldsmith is great fun too! [IMG]
