Ignoring the looming format war or debates about the future of technology...if you had a DVD player capable of true High-Definition video and lossless audio...

that's 12 but of course two of those won't ever get released, and of the rest, 3 have dvd versions that are so completely unsatisfying that anything would be better than whats available now.
i would be happy to see just a remastered anamorphic sd dvd...

As soon as studios begin producing HD/Blu-Ray titles, I'll only be purchasing new titles in the respective hi-def formats. I won't purchase a player until a dual format unit becomes available and at a decent price. I've wrestled with the question of double and triple dipping for HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Disc upgrades to my existing collection. Given that both technologies will offer backwards compatablity with existing DVD software, the only fims currently in my collection that I would want to upgrade are:

    The Wizard of Oz
    The Star Wars Saga
    The Adventures of Indiana Jones
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
    Braveheart
    Alien
    The Matrix
    Jaws
    Schindler's List
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    Tommy Boy
    Strange Brew

Anything on my wish list that I currently do not own would of course get modified to HD or Blu-Ray.

    4. Casablanca
    5. Citizen Kane
    6. Star Wars

    Just to name a few:

    Rear Window
    Psycho
    North by Northwest
    Dial M for Murder
    Superman (1978)
    The Star Wars Trilogy
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
    Any PIXAR Film
    The Wizard of Oz
    Gladiator
    The Indiana Jones Trilogy
    The Matrix
    Godfather Parts I and II
    Jurrassic Park
    Back to the Future Trilogy
Once Upon a Time in the West
    Gone With The Wind
    Bridge on the River Kwai

... I guess that's much more than a few. I must say though, that I'm a bit concerned about the pending format war that is comming closer to fruition.
