Yesterday, August 21, Rhino released a 2-disc set of cartoon music from those classic Warner Bros. cartoons. The set is titled "That's All Folks! Cartoon Songs from Merrie Melodies & Looney Tunes." It contains 6 full cartoon soundtracks including the classic What's Opera, Doc?.
The other tracks are song snippets from various cartoons including an eleven minute suite of Bugs Bunny songs.
Unlike the previous Carl Stalling CDs, this set includes the actual lines of dialogue, songs, etc. Highly recommended!

I'm shocked SHOCKED that Rabbit of Seville is not on it (though it is mentioned in the liner notes).

"Rabbit of Seville" is a dissapointment, also it would be nice to see "Long Haired Hare". Leopold! Leopold! Leopold! Leopold! Leopold! Leopold! Leopold! Leopold!

I've had something like this for several years called "Bugs Bunny on Broadway." It's only one disc, not two. It does have "Rabbit of Seville" and "Long-haired Hare," and the songs are all complete with original dialogue. Good stuff!

Amen to that one! I have several Looney Tunes LDs (I wish I had ALL of them!) but Curtain Calls is by far my favorite.
Long-haired Hare is one of my favorites! "Music hater..."
