It's time to predict the shows that will be coming to dvd in 2005. Remember, don't mention the ones we know for sure. And this is not a what I want, but what I think thread.

My prediction:

-Mission: Impossible (the original and hopefully the new)
-Knot's Landing (because of the success of Desperate Housewives and one of it's stars Nicolette Sheridan)

Sounds like fun. Here are mine:
1.) Facts of Life- If Diff'rent Strokes came out, this one seems a natural follow-up.
2.) Dynasty- A bigger show in its time than Knots Landing, though I think you're right about that one coming out.
3.) Bewitched- This one might be announced already, but if not, it seems a sure bet as there's a movie coming out this summer based somewhat on the show.

Gomer Pyle USMC - With the third season (Gomer's first appearance) of TAGS coming out in 2005, this is only logical.
The Beverly Hillbillies - No reason behind this one, just wishing. :)
The Facts of Life - I agree with the above, with DiS (not to be confused with the Nintendo DS :D ) released, an FoL release only makes sense.
I Dream of Jeannie - To tie in with movie release
Fantastic Four (90s) - ditto
Yogi Bear - To Go with more Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry collections

And, there are two new genres I would like to see of TV-on-DVD...the gameshow, and the Olympics (not just highlights--full events), but that's more dreaming than predicting.

David, I was thinking the same thing, but I guess that the difference is supposed to be that this is for people to predict what will come out while the other thread is for stuff that is confirmed to come out. I only have hopes, but no predictions.

I'd love for the Adams Family, and Welcome Back Kotter as well as continuations of a lot of shows that have already seen releases.

Wait, isn't "Kotter" supposed to be coming or was this just a dream I had?

Here are five that haven't been rumored or announced, so I will actually be making true predictions here:

1. Desperate Housewives
2. George Lopez
3. Muppet Babies
4. Entourage
5. The Facts of Life

Dave,

I forgot about that one. I did a similar thread last year for 2004. I should go back and she if anyone's predictions came true.

I think Dane nailed the big one on the head, Desperate Housewives. I'm sure we'll see that as promotion for the second season premiere.

I'm hoping we'll see at least 3 Survivor sets, though we'll probably only get two. I'm also guessing The Apprentice 2 will be released on DVD just before the third season starts.

I'm guessing that Rescue Me: Season One will come out to coincide with the debut of Season Two and hoping that we'll also see The Job: The Complete Series about the same time.

I think it reflects our group uncertainty about this title. We all "know in our bones" that this has to hit DVD because it would sell like crazy, and that the perfect time to sell it is when the new Batman Returns film hits theaters, but we've heard SO MUCH about the ongoing rights issues between WB and Fox that we're scared in our souls that they are not resolvable. We can certainy believe that one or both of these studios would cut off their noses to spite their faces and keep it off the market. Sigh.

I sure hope that doesn't happen, but we just really haven't heard any HAPPY news on this subject, have we?

I've solved the Batman issue.....

50% profits Warner
50% profits Fox

Done...now release the show.

Yes, I know it is not that simple. ;)
