I just came back from the Crutchfield retail/outlet store here in Charlottesville (where the company is based). They had this Sony Grand Wega set up that's like 2000 inches or whatever it was. It was huuuge, hooked up to a high-end Denon receiver and amp, with high-end Polk speakers. They had it in a special viewing area set up like a living room, with a nice red leather couch that I almost fell asleep in. Thing must weigh a ton. Price tag said 5999.

Just thought I'd share. I'm gonna go drool now. I do that anyway, but now I have a reason to do so.

    Psst...
One of the nicest things about the Grand Wega is that it weighs only about 140 lb. (not including any optional stand or rack accessories)! Less than half the weight of comparable CRT based sets.

The grand Wega, as I understand it, is actually the same engine that is used in the Sony VPL VW11HT LCD projector.
