Something like an Acurus A250, can be bought in audiogon with plenty to spare. Another possibility is the Parasound HCA 1200A or 1500A. Both should work well with the Energy speakers.
All of you GW haters(you know who you are), going to send the money back?

No I'm not. But political discussions are not allowed here so I'm not going to tell you why. I do suspect the moderators will change the inappropriate title of this thread very soon.

I did not intend this thread to be political. simply with an extra $600.00 coming into the upgrade fund I'm going to purchase a new amp. I'm leaning towards the NAD-370 or the outlaw 750 (2ch vs 5ch)

Stop player hating G Dubya. This is anything but a political discussion and I think your reasons behind it are that you dislike G Dubya.
It's a discussion on what ya gonna do with the tax rebate check!

Setting to the side waiting for the new Outlaw Pre/pro. BTW the 750 is an excellent choice.

Well, if it makes any of you happier I don't like politicians although their ineptitude net me $300 free dollars. Yes, I do mean free.
Thanks to their late minute decision not to roll back taxes for 2000 but to give rebates equivalent to the future 2001 rollback to 2000 filers, I qualify for $300 now. The lifetime learning credit picks up the rest of my required tax from working 5 months in 2000. Yet, next year (2001) I won't have enough earnings for them to charge me back the $300 with federal taxes due to full-time student status. End result is I get $300 and their law doesn't require me to pay them back.
I'm buying a new CDR. Thanks everyone for the free $300. (You'll get me back with higher rates after Med School and SSI bankruptcy.)

I don't want to spoil anyone's fun but most people that could truly benefit from the rebate will be put into a higher tax bracket, gradually. This will easily overcome the $600 rebate.
