On the iPhone 6 with the latest OS, is there a way to flag a text as spam or junk or whatever?

You can block numbers and callers. But there's no way I know of to flag it as spam. (I looked recently, too.)

I couldn't find a way to block the text either.

Open the text and you will see a banner along the top with the texter's / caller's name. On the right-hand side is an "i" in a circle.

Click the "i" and you will see another screen with a phone icon and a ">" in the upper right corner.

Click the ">" and you will go to the contact information page. Scroll all the way down and you should see Block this Caller.
