I miss Bridget Fonda since she retired 15 years ago.
Came back from Vegas last week. Saw the Psychedelic Furs at the House of Blues -- they were excellent!! Was there for NCAA opening weekend basketball betting. It was a chilly (for me) 40 degrees at night. Got to see a lot of live music from my favorite Vegas bands.
Saw "Ready Player One" this weekend. I had never gotten around to reading the novel. It was pretty fun, but I expected a bit more. I did like the surprisingly long scenes referencing
, and the 80's soundtrack.
Hi Elizabeth, I've decided to skip Ready Player One at the cinema, I know I know it's Spielberg, it's science fiction, but it just seemed a little too juvenile for me, how Ironic those words are considering I only watch comic book movies on the big screen.
I'll catch it on blu-ray (and 3D) in a few months time.
It's something called Infinity War I'm gagging to see. Yep much more adult and serious and realistic.
I'll pass on Ready Player One as well, until blu. Enjoyed the book, the trailers don't grab me though.I'll wait on Infinity War too. I can't think of any films I'm looking forward too.
The only film I'm looking forward to is The Death of Stalin. I can't believe the only disc out is a region 2 version.
I can't believe casting Michael Palin as Molotov.
Yesterday, time zone where I'm in, was my brithday. Was cool. This weekend I'm going up to my Mom and Step-Dads house then going to San Francisco's Chinatown district and stuff. Awesome.
Happy birthday, Ray!
I think it was your birthday yesterday in the time zone where I was, too!
Happy Birthday, Ray!!
I suppose I'll see "Infinity War" at the theater, but not particularly hyped about it. I'm in a bit of a lull about needing to see things at the cinema. I wouldn't mind seeing "Rampage", though. I really need to catch up more on my TV shows.
Erecting a blue penis.
I was going to run and grab a link to the story about a similar event here in NY, Steve...but then I saw it was already mentioned in your linked article! Same artist, same event, different time zone, different culture. Same outcome?
I really dislike that prissy know-it-all voice that Microsoft uses for its "Cortana" program.
Wouldn't it be cool to find software that replaces the Cortana voice with that of HAL 9000?
So far nobody has done that. Stupid programmers......
This is strange.
I typed "open the pod bay doors Cortana" into the Cortana search box.
This is the reply.....

So, anyone see "Avengers: Infinity War"? I saw it Saturday. I liked it, but I think I was expecting something a little different story-wise. The film felt really "busy", cutting between so many groups of characters here and there. Especially liked the humor between Starlord/Thor/Rocket, and the Stark/Parker dynamic.
Got my ticket to go see Def Leppard here in Hawaii in October. Their only North American show where they will perform the "Hysteria" album in its entirety (and other songs). I saw them last year in Vegas but can't pass up this one. They will be going to Australia, New Zealand and Japan, where The Scorpions will be their opening act. Wow, lucky! (Though in what world do the Scorps open for them instead of vice versa?!?!?)
Hi Elizabeth, I saw Infinity War a few days ago. I enjoyed it a lot but was disappointed that it ended where it did, it was a little abrupt and seemed like half a movie to me. Now I have to wait a whole year to see who lives and who really did die.
The movie is a massive success and is on it's way to grossing a billion dollars faster than any previous movie. Sorry guys but I think comic book movies are here to stay. [Mike winces]
