So far i am dodging the Sex in the City bullet. My wife has a test she is studying for. I have Rambo, and National Treasure 2 to watch as well (Blu-ray, of course).
Sad that Romero has to remake, i mean make a movie in the new seizure cam process...dont like it, not at all. Not his movie, cause i have not seen it. I hate the whole homemade process. Tripods have been out for a long time, use one, thank you!

I think the anal-retentives have completely overrun the HD area. Every thread I open has a chorus of complaints over DNR, EE, artifacts, too much grain, not enough grain [My head is spinning]........every release is supposedly fucked up .....they're going over every disc frame by frame with their faces pressed up to their displays

looking for any type of flaw they can find. Doesn't anybody just sit back, relax and watch the movie anymore?! WTF?!
Some are even telling others to buycott everything until they redo it....yeah F U buddy!
I think some of these guys need to seriously get laid.

Hey Jim, you know what...sometimes i buy a DVD just because its cheaper than the Blu-ray. Like the Dirty Harry films. I am getting the first on Blu, and keeping my old DVDs for now of the sequels. I dont have to own EVERYTHING on Blu. Sometimes the DVD is good enough. Dare i say, sometimes i cant see an improvement anyway.

I ordered the DH set so I'll let you know if there's a difference. But yeah there are a few BD's I bought that were kinda meh, not much of an improvement....T2, Robocop to name a few. Most were a big improvement to me though. [SNOOT!]
The weird thing is with upconverted deeveedees is that the older B&W films look the best on my 1080peeeee display compared to more recent films, maybe because they weren't processed as much.......dunno..........[SNOOT!]

I think the reason old films look better then new ones is because the old ones shot on sets and such, where as all the new ones are green screened and digital blah blah, which always look a bit off on SD, probably look way off on HD.
