Well, I beg to differ, as I see Alien 3 as at least as great as the other two (it's a trilogy, the fourth doesn't count although it does have its moments ;)), and if Fincher had been given the chance, it may well have been the best of them all. As it is, I rate it second, after Aliens.
And if the Prometheus movies are anything to go by, maybe we shouldn't hope too much for a prequel/reboot of the Terminator after all.

I don't think I've ever felt more betrayed by a movie then by the plot choices made in A3. They occur early in the movie and are major spoilers so I won't list them here. I try to erase the memory of A3 as often as required.

This pretty much captures my feelings on it.

I don’t think I’d want to get in her way.

While I kinda like Alien 3 I would rate it dead last among all the Alien films.

Hmmm, even the AvP stuff and Scott's new films? Alien 3 is far better than either Prometheus or Covenant, IMO.

Disagree. Loved both Prometheus and Covenant. Both miles better than Alien 3 imo.

Not counting the fringe AVP films (though I really liked the first one).

The shear number of writers attached to that poster has me concerned...

There's also lots of name dropping in that poster: Cameron, Miller, Deadpool, Judgment Day.

Kind of reeks of desperation when you have to resort to reminding the audience of other films in an attempt to promote your own.

Trailer..I'm not overwhelmed with excitement, but we've still got six months until release. And I will be seeing this in the theater. I sat through Genesys and Dark Fate can't possibly be any worse.

Intrigued by the new Terminator properties and even more so by the lack of recognition of the Connor name. Looks like fun.

    That doesn't look bad.

This is about as much enthusiasm as I can muster for it right now. But it doesn't look bad. We'll see what happens.

Also, what is this playing with in theaters? Brightburn seems the most likely of the titles being released tomorrow, or it could be Rocketman next week (Paramount.)

And, I didn't realize 20th Century Fox was involved until I saw their logo on the front of the trailer. They must have foreign rights or something. That makes Disney involved now. It's amazing they've managed to acquire a piece of this too.

Trailer looks pretty good; the poster looks better. I'll be cautiously optimistic.

Oh man, I'll take the first AVP film for sheer fun over A3 any day. (Same goes for Resurrection and Covenant.)

Why they are so young? Is this a teen movie? Couldn't they cast older actors? At least for the robot.

What, Linda Hamilton and Arnie aren't enough of a senior presence for you? I don't think too many people want to see Terminator: Dark Nursing Home. ;)

I like the throwback to the motel room from the first movie, complete with Sarah's lean back pose. But this doesn't strike me as a James Cameron film, which IMO should be the intent of anything called "Terminator."

The bad guy liquid metal robot looks like a kid. Arnold in the first movie and Robert Patrick in the second movie did not look like a kid.

    I kinda do...

I'll be seeing this. Although Genisys really did suck (just as much as the spelling of Genisys they decided to use on that film!)..

I think Bubba Ho-Tep is as close as you're gonna get, Mike. ;)
