Just got this and reading the booklet it looks like the disc is Progressive encoded compared to normal dvds which is interlaced encoded. Is this true?
What would you gain since you have to put it through a progressive module ( display or player )to watch it...
And are other dvds like this?

For the most part, "Progressive" vs "interlaced" encoded on DVD doesnt mean much, since they can be converted back and forth (depending on the medium).

The problem is that interlaced video can have alot of artifacts, so alot of filtering tends to be applied to the interlaced video to improve its appearence on an interlaced TV. This can result in a 30% loss of resolution.

If T2:EE did not have the standard interlace filters applied, then the video should look much better on a progressive TV.
