Tempest mounting question (1 Viewer)

I'm building a sealed Tempest based on Adire's design, and I have a question about the actual driver mounting. There's a 13 7/8" cutout in the bottom panel for the driver. Does it matter if the driver is installed above this bottom panel or below it? Since there is a gasket on the Tempest, I'm thinking the gasket goes against the bottom panel which puts the speaker above the panel.

Um, I guess you could do this. But then wouldn't you have to have the driver inside the enclosure before you had all the sides glued together. You also wouldn't be able to get it out again without destroying the enclosure. Everyone I have seen, including my own has been mounted below.

The only exception to this is with Rich Kraus's infinite baffel. But it's done above because in the case of an infinite baffel that would be easier.
