Would this stuff work well to sandwich in between the driver and the enclosure? It's the closest thing I could find to "rope caulk"

    w w w.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?CNTTYPE=PROD_META&CNTKEY=Products_2%2fPaint+%26+Wall+Coverings%2fCau lks+%26+Adhesives%2fPainter+Acrylic+Caulk&BV_SessionID=@@@@1966032964.1071084621@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdkadckedlegjdcgelceffdfgidgmk.0&MID=9876

(sorry for the messed up link)

    Thanks again for the help.

James, the link didn't work for me even after I fixed the www, but if its the foam tape they have, then thats what I used. Just make sure its closed cell, not open cell.

Ahhh... Did a search for "Foam Tape" at HomeDepot.com and that looks like it came up with a few winners.

    Thanks!

Nice! I'll be attempting the same thing tonight to finish off my first Tempest project.

And I'm really liking the $3 price tag on the foam tape. [IMG]

Yep, that tape that Pat used it what I used too. It works well, and isn't a permanent seal, like silicone or caulk might be. Of course, that won't matter if you don't plan on opening it up again. One thing I did notice on mine was that the tape is probably good for one use, and if you pop out the driver for anything you might want to re-tape. Mine was pretty seriously compressed and I don't know if it would have made a great seal the second time. But hey, for a few bucks a roll, who cares?
