Is the 272 watts of the PE amp enough to get the tempest going. I want a low Q sealed design for music, and i want to know what kind of box i should build(from your suggestions), and if i will need more amplifier power. My speakers are down -2db @ 30hz, so i want that really low, hence wanting a low Q, Is it possible to make the low Q design of the tempest taller and thinner? Thanks. Would switching to a rythmic 350 watt be better? i just don't want to rob myself of the performance its capable of. Thanks.

I use a similar Adire AVA-250 amp, and I think I have the gain up between a third and a half. Granted, mine is in a large ported box, but I'm pretty sure that 250 watts is more than enough to drive the Tempest to its limits.

As far as the box design, if you keep the internal volume the same, you should be alright. Oh, and also make sure that the box is still structurally sound (i.e. well braced).
