Okay, I know ZILCH about turntables. (I'm a child of the digital age) I recently purchased some vinyl of one of my favorite bands after I spotted it out of the blue at a local store. I don't have a turntable, but I want to listen to them...so...cue my parents.
They have a Technics SL-B211 that I can have for free. Not sure how good this tt is at all. I can't afford a top of the line tt or even a decent one at this time, so I'm just gonna take the Technics off my parents hands.
Has anyone heard of this tt before? Must be from the 80s.
I really don't know the first thing about vinyl and tables, so what should I do? Should I bring it somewhere and have it inspected, new cartridge, etc...????
