technics dvd A-10 (1 Viewer)

Good Guys is closing out A10 at $260.I would use this player mainly for dvd-audio.How good is the sound quality compared to other players.I have a cd player so only dvd-audio and DTS would be played.

That should keep you busy. At that price, I'd strongly recommend buying this excellent machine.

Mark, the 'A10 isn't an all-world machine, but for the $380 I paid in February 2001, it is excellent. $260 is a steal. Build quality is excellent, as is the performance with DVD-Audio discs. CD playback is lackluster, but this should not be an issue for you. Does $260 get you a new unit or an open-box unit? Just be careful if you would be getting an open-box unit. The 'A10 was discontinued quite awhile ago, so an open-box unit has probably been poked and prodded quite a bit.

Mark, I did not see the Technics 'A10 on Good Guys' web site. Either the stores are selling floor models or they do not have enough new units in stock to advertise them on the web.
