I think it’s s lot of fun. Definitely campy and very derivative.

But it has a great performance by Warwick Davis, nice cinematography, a great score by James Horner and cool visual effects.

Basically it is Star Wars-

The two Brownies: R2D2, and C3P0

Willow: Luke Skywalker

General Kael: Darth Vader

Bavmorda: The Emperor

Madmartigan: Han Solo

Eric: Lando

Raziel: Obi Wan Kenobi

Sorsha: Princess Leia

The Bar where Willow meets MAdmartigan is like the Cantina where Luke meets Han Solo.

I've always enjoyed it, but I can see how if you didn't see it as a kid or young adult you might not get as much out of it. Val Kilmer was at the top of his game in the film though.

Man, you guys are harsh critics. I’ve always enjoyed Willow and I was an adult when it first came out. But this reissue reminds me that I still need to pull the first Blu-ray off my shelf and finally watch it.

I'm not sure I've watched it since around the time it first came out, but I do have the blu-ray somewhere.

I don't recall much about the film, but do recall it seemed very long.
