How is the transfer on the Tartan UK DVD of Belleville Rendezvous (Triplets of Belleville)?

Great! I had the R1, and was dismayed by the edge enhancement, which presented itself here in horizontal ringing.

I later picked up the R2 from amazon.co.uk when it was cheap, and it was a good idea - the R2 is free of these artefacts, and is beautiful.

If you're looking at the R2 because its cheap at CDwow right now, get it - its a superior edition of the film for peanuts![IMG] [IMG]

Yep, the R2UK disc is gorgeous and includes a DTS track as well.

Thanks, I will pick this up. The DVDTimes.co.uk review mentions mosquito noise and blocky gradients, but the reviewer thinks it is caused by transferring to DVD from the digital files, so I don't think he knows what he's talking about.
