Ok, so I know that these subs are not really in the same class but this is my dilemma... I can get a used Tannoy PS115 for $425 or a brand new SVS PB10-ISD for $429, the Tannoy is only 100 watts but it's a 15" sub. The SVS is 300 watts but it's only a 10". Does anyone have experience with either of these? Or what are your opinions? Which one will drive my neighbours more nuts?

The amp is way to weak in that unit.

People have reported good results with it, using external amplification, such as one of the cheap on Ubid Audiosource Amp/1a's.. $69 Bridged.

That is an old subwoofer right? I'd bank the new SVS would wax an old tired worn out Tannoy 15" sub, even if you upgraded the amplification on it.

If you dig around for a good price, you can get a 15" Velodyne DLS5000R for $500 to $600, I highly endorse that baby..... 1000 Watt amp in that one, some built in DSP as well...
