Has anyone used or listened to tannoy studio Monitors in a home theatre set up. I have just secured some 15DMT s for the fron with a sytem 800 for centre stage and 600 for the back. will they sound good being monitors??? I have listened to the sytem 12 and they blew me a way, extremely refined and detailed.VERY HIGH SPL

Maurice - Sounds like you have the makings of an excellent theater setup! :)

I will be using Tannoy Dual-Concentrics in my theater room as well. They are truly excellent for theater use...VERY articulate in the midrange! I was hooked on them from the first time I heard them. The only downside is they are perhaps a bit shy in the bass, but this does not matter to me since I will be crossing over at 80 Hz anyway.

The front stage will consist of a pair of shielded System 800's for L/R and a System 1000 for center. For rear and side surround duty, I've aquired a bunch of their dual-concentric ceiling monitors for dirt-cheap prices -- eBay has been very good to me! ;)

The ceiling monitors use the same drivers as the studio monitor and home speaker lines. So far I've picked up (10) 6" drivers and (3) 8" drivers...I'll probably just run the 6" drivers for the rear channels.
