Tech specs include a 2.40:1 widescreen transfer in 1080p/MPEG-2 video, plus an uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track.

If this is a BD50, the MPEG2 transfer should look fine.

Supplemental details have yet to be announced, but Sony has set a $38.95 for the Blu-ray release.

And it isn't even a combo-disk.
