Ugh, doesn't look like there is too much material that is "new" (I counted five tracks from that listing that could be considered truly unreleased).

However, speaking as someone who paid $25 for the Storytelling Giant VHS two years ago, I am overjoyed to hear it'll be making its debut on DVD; the Heads' videos were some of the most creative I've ever seen, and it'll be a blast to see the other videos that the VHS missed.

Just wish it didn't come as part of a (potentially expensive) box set.

Now, when they are going to issue The Name of This Band is Talking Heads on CD?

I love their music, so if remastered I will likely pick it up.

One of my best concert experiences was seeing them do the "Stop Making Sense" tour at UVA in late 80s. :)

Hokey Smoke! I have Storytelling Giant on vhs, too, but was always hoping for something with the (Nothing But) Flowers video to come out - I really like that one (song, too, of course). I haven't seen it since 1988, and even though I don't like videos as a rule, I really dig TH's videos. Surely being former art students influenced their visuals as well as their music, as the Stop Making Sense staging also shows.

I'd likely pick this up. It's too bad they couldn't get along well enough to put out more great music, or reunite.

To the positive, it's probably the only way we'll get higher quality versions of these tracks - don't expect any of the original albums to see any sort of re-mastering for marketing purposes (ie: low sales return). Fear Of Music is probably the worst-sounding from a mastering standpoint, but '77 still holds up well. Remain In Light would do well to be re-done ("Once In A Lifetime" sounds much better on Sand In The Vaseline).

I still have my LD of Storytelling Giant, and was going to port it over to DVD myself, but this is much better news! It's nice to see the videos for "Nothing But Flowers" and "Blind" being included.

BTW when are we ever going to see The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads on CD?
