Hey I recently did this game by myself but thought it'd be fun to share with others. Anyway I call this the prime-time Challenge. What you have to do is take only your TV on DVD boxsets and schedule a dream prime-time schedule! Here are the rules.

1.You don't have to use all your boxsets but you have to fill up every timeslot in prime-time. 3 hours 6 days a week. 4 hours on Sunday. The viewing day must end sharply at 11 pm for the news. So don't put the Soprano's at 10:30.

2.You can't use a show more than once.

3.Any show counts. That includes HBO shows like Sopranos, short-run shows like Clerks, even cartoons that had single-disc sets like X-men or Super=friends.

4.Shows that have only appeared on dvd's as bonus features (like behind the music or Maverick or the 1960's Spiderman) don't count. Also SNL dosen't count since they never did a single-episode disc.

    Okay I'll start with mine

    Monday:
    8 PM: Smallville
    9 PM: Alias
    10PM: OZ

    Tuesday:
    8 PM: Buffy
    9 PM: Angel
    10 PM:24

    Wednesday
    8: Good Times

    Friday
    8: Saved by the Bell
    830:What's Happening?
    9: Mystery Science Theather 3000

    Saturday
8 PM: Planet of the Apes
    9 pm: Black Scorpion
10 PM: Son of the beach
    10:30: Osbournes

Ok I'll bite but I'm converting this in to central time so I can keep track. I had some choices that I thought might be iffy so I'll explain them now.
Looney Tunes: The release was covered by TVShowsOnDVD.com, and on that site it can be added to your list of shows owned or desired, so it counts IMO.
You will also notice a Wrestling Block, wrestling is on TV and is put in this section of software, so to me that also counts. In March, or later, I will probably redo this list because then I can add stuff like Flintstones and Scooby which means I won't need to use Wrestling to fill out the schedule. I list my schedule and give some reasons or explanations for what I've done.

    Monday:
    7:00 PM. Wrestling block Hour 1, FMW/ECW/NWA-TNA/Misc.
8:00 PM. Wrestling Block Hour 2, WWE
    9:00 PM. The Osbournes
    9:30 PM. Clerks
My thoughts: Something about Wrestling on a Monday Night just feels right, and I figure since younger guys watch wrestling, we'd give the Osbournes and Clerks afterward to keep them hooked.

    Tuesday:
    7:00 PM. Looney Tunes
    7:30 PM. The Muppet Show
    8:00 PM. Good Times
    8:30 PM. Sanford and Son
    9:00 PM. What's Happening
    9:30 3's Company
My Thoughts: Tuesday is my hodge podge night when compared to the other nights of the week.

    Wednesday:
7:00 PM. Malcolm in the Middle
    7:30 PM. Cheers
    8:00 PM. Frasier
    8:30 PM. King of Queens
    9:00 PM. Married with Children
9:30 PM. Sex and the City
My Thoughts: Wednesday is my more edgy night of TV, starting off with Malcolm and ending with the very adult Sex and the City. The edginess progresses as the hours get later.

    Thursday:
    7:00 PM. 24
    8:00 PM. Friends
8:30 PM. Saved by the Bell
    9:00 PM. Sports Night
    9:30 PM. Spin City
My Thoughts: My More Modern Night of the Week, with the acception of Saved by the Bell

    Friday:
7:00 PM. The Dick Van Dyke Show
7:30 PM. The Mary Tyler Moore Show
8:00 PM. All in the Family
    8:30 PM. The Jeffersons
    9:00 PM M*A*S*H
    9:30 PM. Green Acres
My Thoughts: Friday is old classics night since the TV audience is smaller on Friday.

    Saturday:
    7:00 PM. Spongebob Squarepants
7:30 PM. Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends
    8:00 PM. The Powerpuff Girls
    8:30 PM. Ren and Stimpy
9:00 PM. Space Ghost Coast to Coast
9:30 PM. Aqua Teen Hunger Force
My Thoughts: This one starts out for the kids that get to stay up later on Saturday Night, but hopefully they're not up until ATHF comes on.

    Sunday:
6:00 PM. King of the Hill
    6:30 PM. Futurama
    7:00 PM. The Simpsons
    7:30 PM. The Critic
    8:00 PM. Dilbert
    8:30 PM. Family Guy
    9:00 PM. Beavis and Butthead
    9:30 PM. South Park
My Thoughts: This is animation night, well so is Saturday but this is the lineup that gets the promotion from my marketing department.

Oh wrestling dosen't count unless you have a complete episode of Raw or Nitro on DVD. It falls under the SNL best-of rule.

You know I almost argued this point until I remembered that this is a pointless contest that is just to be done for fun with nothing to be won or lost so its not worth the time.

    Can you schedule a movie-of-the-week?

And do you have to currently own the sets?

I'd tune into any of those channels. Beats the primetime we get here in Australia, which is simply couples renovating houses. On the odd occassion we get good shows like Buffy, it will be at 11pm at night.

Thank god for tv on dvd is all I say. It's become the only way I will watch tv shows. I've become so dependent on them I'm nearly as irritated by ads on tv shows as I am by ads through movies. [IMG]
