Any opinion on the Tag AV32 EX 192b and especially with the new passthrough input 5.1 for SACD ?
Yeah, I want one!
Hey Guys if you have any further questions about the AV32R-BP let me Know Mark C Sherman Product Specialist TAG McLaren Audio
Well I'd like to know if there are people around here who own one, or if there are any reviews of it comparing it to other similarly priced/featured prepros including the original AV32R.
Mark : I have a question for you : For the time being I only have 5 strictly identical speakers 4 BW Nautilus 803 and 1 HTM1 . My first purpose is to listen to CD and SACD in multichannel format. So I think the homogeneity of the speakers is important. Nevertheless for HC I am wondering if I can use 2 surround speakers in order to place them at about 1,80 meter from the floor which seems to be better for HC , and so I will not use my 2 Rear Nautilus 803. With a Tag 7.1 can I do this ?
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough Can I use two different sets of "side speakers" , one for SACD , the other for HC. I will use my rear floorstander for SACD and my surround speaker placed in height for HC ? I don't really need to listen to a 7.1 but in fact 2 5.1 systems with same front and center speakers but different rear (or side) speakers Thank you
Ok let me see if I am following you and that we are both on the same page. 1 when you listen to a SACD you want the sound coming from your Floorstanding B&W's in thr rear. 2 and when you Watch a movie you want to use your Smaller speakers for rears. you want to be able to set it up so that the proper speakers are being used for the right source, DVD,SACD Is that correct? I would use the same speakers for both Music and Movies. No harm in using a better speaker for rears. Mark C Sherman TAG McLaren Audio
Thanks you for your answer Mark and sorry for my english. You are correct in your message but it seems better for HC to have surround speaker (like the BW SCM1) largely above the head of the listener to have an "overhead" effect and more diffuse sound. Floorstander are not enough high for this , that's why I think it can be better to put the BW SCM at about 1,80 meter from the floor. The BW floorstand nautilus 803 is about 1.05 meter tall. Am I wrong ?
I have set up many systems in my day and most of them did use Floor standing speakers for the rear that way I was still getting FULL RANGE on movie sound tracks . I also have a lot of customers who use Our Calliope with our Bass modules for the rears without a hitch. Later Mark C Sherman TAG McLaren Audio
