I am in the market for a HTS - is there a special set-up for a room with cathedral ceilings? Would any system have an advantage over the others in such a room?

    Room size is approx 16' x 22' with a height of 16'.

Basically you just need more power and speakers capable of using that power. This is particularly true of the subwoofer. Of course it all depends on your listening habits. Listening to Lord of the Rings or The Matrix at 85 db is considerably more of a challenge than listening to Brief Encounter at 65 db.

The last two places I've lived have (had) cathedral ceilings, and I like the "open" feeling you get with the sound. Probably because ceiling reflections are a non-issue, given the height and angled surface.
