I'm interested in hearing what people would think would be the better speaker setup for surround sound. Swan's Divas 6.1 with the matching center and surrounds, or Def Tech bp30's with clr2000 center and surrounds. It would be most likely for 90% home theater and 10% music. I want to go SVS for the sub so the base of the speakers doesn't matter that much. Also would you recommend going 6.1s all around and bp30s all around or buying smaller surrounds. By the way anyone know the warranty length on the Divas? Thanks.

I'll bite..
I love the DT's sound after all the work has been done in getting the proper speaker placement. I can't comment on the Divas since I haven't heard them for myself. But I will say this, they are some very beautiful speakers!
I love the Rosewood and black layout. I do plan on taking my BP30s and veneering them with rosewood. Yes.. I'll make grills for them.

I've noticed that the surrounds and center of the divas do not have the same drivers as the 6.1s. Will this effect the matching of the speaker? Diva says on their site they have a 3.1 which has teh same driver as the 6.1, but its not for sale by av123. Anyone else have any comments?

Adam:
I have the Def Tech BP2000Tl system and is getting ready to place my order on the Diva before the 7/4 deadline. Yes, the midrange in the C3 center is different from that of the 6.1. In fact these two models are the only three way speakers Diva has to offer. Mark Schifter is joining in on a post in AVS Forum and he has responded to the same question I raised on this issue. I love my Def Tech HT system but just want to try something different esp. the 6.1's in 2 channel. Of course the Diva's looks wouldn't hurt either. My take is either way you will come away happy.
