Are SVS subs the best because they are the most accurate or is it that they can just produce insane amounts of bass? OR is it that they are accurate with insane amounts of bass. I'm looking for a new subwoofer, and am not having lots of luck finding one I like. I don't need 100db at 20Hz but when there is bass sent to the sub I want to hear bass out of the sub. I've listened to many brands and nothing in my price range is anywhere close. I'm trying to stay around the $500 mark. So I initially wasn't going to buy a svs because I thought I could find something cheaper, but its turning out not to be so. I just want an accurate sub, is SVS it?

    Thanks
