SBS-01 for L and R channel
SCS-01 for center channel
PC12-NSD Cylinder for Subwoofer ( 16''D x 35" H)

For now I'm only thinking of a 3.1, but wanted to know if the SVsound "world renowned" Sub is worth the $549.00 asking price for a sub?

I only have a 12'x9' room, so I would not need the more powerful SCS-01 (m) mains.

OK..Now another winkle...Someone mentioned HSU VT-12, a 6.0 channel including a Center for about $300.00. The STF-1 Powered 150w Sub is another $300.00, but as a packaged deal, all for $499.00. Do I have to spend twice this to get a good sound?

Now, if at all possible, it would be nice to hear from anyone who knows the difference between spending $1000.00 for a entry level SVSound system ( the sub alone is $550.00) and a $499.00 Performance 1 package through HSU? I don't really need the extra center back speaker.

Thanks!

Yes............SVS has one of the best subwoofers out there. Most people at most forums rave about them. They are an internet only company, but have an excellent return policy, and outstanding customer service. They also make some very good speakers, to go along with their subs.

I had the PB12-nsd and it was a very strong and powerfull sub, I exchanged it for the PB13 Ultra and I do not regret it. I say this as you can never have too much sub for your room, it just allows for more headroom during demanding scenes.

So far as SVS speakers go, they are getting great reviews, I do not think you can go wrong with them for the price.

Trying doing a search on "SVS". I think you'll find that folks around here have indeed heard of them. :D

I love my PB 12 Plus/2 to the point where it might be classified as a clinical issue. The only way you could go wrong with SVS is if your wife tells you NOT to buy one, but you do it anyway.

Well, maybe that would be wrong.
