Man threads get off topic quickly.

To the OP, ordering the SVS is an easy way to get good bass, kind of like a sure thing. But if you put that $550 towards a sonosub with a 15" driver, you should be able to outgun the SVS - as you have said though, it won't be guaranteed.

Yup,

TC gets some components from China, Indigo (in Toronto) certainly gets some of its components from China. Hell, the cabinet shop in Ohio that made our enclosures (before they closed shop) got some of their inventory from China.

The funny part is...everyone says "yes, everyone KNOWS associated vendors are going to source from sources outside the USA..."

But then you still have folks here acting like they are telling everyone a "dark secret" about SVS...

Ohhhhh, didn't you KNOW..., they get the amps from Toronto...but the resisters in those amps come from venus? Oh the horror...

A new internet expert with "inside" information about some manufacturer pops up every week...this week we get a 2 for 1 deal...

You've got a very broad definition of expert and I never mentioned anything being inside information.

Only the well known facts that TC Sounds has made SVS drivers and SVS hired Ponte from TC as your new sub designer. Both of those pieces of information can easily be found elsewhere on HTF, which is why Lee-c's post seemed like an easy correction, but two SVS employees and some sarcasm later it seems like that isn't the case.
