Thanks PaulT for the heads-up & review link - ... just verify's what I and other SVS 25-31PCi owners are enjoying in our REFERENCED Calibrated HT speakers w/SVS Systems!!!
John E. Johnson, Jr. povides the objective benchmarks that explains why 25-31PCi owners subjectively rain accolades about our SVS ...

I agree. My only complaint about my 16-46 PCi is that since I bought it, equalized it to flat +-1db and calibrated it (flat, not a few dbs hot), I have not been home to enjoy it. I really need to take some time off to enjoy the sub and my new HT stuff!

GOD! I can't believe I actually asked to delay the shipping of my 25-31i. I'm an idiot!

I just received my sub (25-31, tuned to 22) less than 48 hours after leaving the SVS shop in Ohio. Of course, I'm only 2 states over, so it's not like it had that far to go.

On a completely different topic, but also related to the 25-31, does anyone find that the recommendation to start the calibration with the gain set to 1/2 to 3/4 to be way too much power? Using the RS SPL meter, I've got the gain at about 1/4, running about 4db hot.

Joe what do you have your sub level at on you receiver? The manual states to start at 1/2 to 3/4 up on the sub but 3/4 down at the reciever.

I followed the SVS directions and ended up at -6dB @ the receiver, volume in the 1:00 to 1:30 position, or right between 1/2 and 3/4.

With the built-in Denon test tone, this is right at 82-83dB.

    Steve-

I've got a Marantz 7200 set to -8 (out of 15) on the sub level. I'm running it at about 78db using the Marantz internal tones, taking a reading about 3-4m from the sub.

    NICE TRY WAYNE! [IMG]
My sub arrived yesterday (less than 48 hrs after shipping) but I couldn't do anything with it! It was late and I had visions of my daughter's bed shaking like Linda Blair's so I didn't really crank it. My vacation starts in 1 hour and 20 minutes so I'm going home to let it rip! [IMG]

    Hi Guys,

Good to hear UPS hasn't gotten too backed-up this year...and SVS has managed to maintain a 1 day shipping window on just about everything too(besides custom builds---like 220v units for example).

Just be sure to calibrate the sub with a SPL meter and then try out a couple of your favortie CDs and DVDs.
