i picked up one of these units in b-stock at the end of summer and am very pleased with its performance. for $599, you cant get much better...

I agree! I bought both of my 20-39 CS's as B stocks last summer, and there is absolutely NO problems with them. SVS gives you the full warranty, so risk is small.
