My financial officer is just more lovely after she said YES to upgrade my sub[IMG]
I currently have a very small yammy 6 1/2 incher sub (45 watts preamp). The bass is just too weak to me and now I'm gonna call either SVS or HSU next Monday depend on what sub you guys recommended:
    25-31 pci $499
    20-39 pci $549
    hsu vtf2 $450
So, please choose 1 out out those 3 for me!!!
I have JBL n38ii as main speakers and I currently set as large, my small yammy surrounds as small and yammy center as small also, and "bass out" on sub only. What should I set after I get the new sub???
Thank you all and please lemme know before Sunday nite.

For the $50 price difference I'd take the 25-31 too.

OK, I guess I'll get 25-31. And do I need to reset my other speakers or just leave it like it is?

Well I guess I should add unless the extra $50 for the 20-39 isn't painful for you. If it isn't, I'd definately get the 20-39 over the 25-31.

For the extra 50 clams, i'd go with the 20-39... best of both worlds.

I like the logic of the 20-39. Why miss out on those 5 hz of frequency range [IMG] The 20-39 is a well mannered subwoofer. Goes low but overall good volume and nice sounding. Mind you, I heard two of them together and they blew me away, so I'm not one to rate a single SVS 20-39. I imagine its similar [IMG]

Has anyone of you heard both subs you are comparing?
I have never heard a VTF-2 or a 20-39PCi but I have heard there big brothers.

If I may add one more suggestion to the mix: ask SVS to tune your 25-31 to 22Hz. It doesn't cost anything extra and you get in-room extension to 20Hz and even a little below without adding an extra 8 inches to the sub's height. That's what I did. It's wonderful.

Binh Vu, check SVS B stock, if you don't mind a little scratch on your sub. Most of the time you can't even see them. I picked up a 25-31 pci B stcok for $449 on Saturday. Saving $50 always makes the wife happy. [IMG]

Are the SVS subs solely available over the internet?

Are they that good? Odd design and all. The wife hates the look of the Mirage LF-150 and so I told her before I buy I'll look at alternatives.

I finally called SVS few hours ago to order a 20-39pci. They don't have any B-stock on pci series though. It'll be here this Friday or next Monday as latest [IMG]
