I think it was obvious Jonathan was voting for Yul. The real swing vote was Rebecca considering she spent zero time with either Yul nor Ozzy other than at challenges. Interestingly, she went with Yul presumably based on his answer at Tribal, but in a way, it's because he was asked first that Ozzy could only say, "What he said". I really liked Yul's response to Jonathan about how he wouldn't deceive and blindside unsuspecting people outside the game and that the contestants in Survivior are fair game because you know what you're getting into. I find to many jury members in the past would blast the finalists for ethical issues when the real problem is that they were outsmarted.

I wonder how the vote would have gone down if Becky had lost the fire making challenge -- assuming Becky votes for Yul, could Rebecca, having only known Sundra, created a 4-4 tie between Yul & Ozzy? Would the car vote been the deciding factor? I also wonder if editing made it look like most of the jury ignored Becky or if they really didn't bother asking her any questions. She really did herself no favors by answering so poorly with that neck scratching nervous tick that made it look like she was lying.

I'm glad Yul won, even though a very big factor in making it this far was that he had the immunity idol - something I was shocked was not brought up (maybe a good strategy for next season: Be a d*** and get sent to Exile Island so you can find the hidden immunity idol). I thought most of Ozzy's answers weren't very good... The 'dad' story seemed really out of place and desperate. I'm sure he'll do fine if he got back into porn acting - my guess is that Yul will use the money more constructively.

Do they still give out $100K to the runner-up? I remember this being mentioned in the first season, but it hasn't been brought up in the last few years, as far as I can remember.
    Does anyone know how much #s 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. get?

Wow. This has been my favorite season of Survivor thus far. I really enjoyed it.

My first thought when they were at the final tribal council (studio city) was, " I don't remember Joey Lawrence being on Survivor". Ozzie didn't look at all like he did on the island, not even a little. I never would have recognized him.

I'm glad Yule won as well. He played a great game. Ozzie played a good strong game, but Yule definitely was the mastermind behind it all. Poor Becky just sitting there, knowing no one was going to vote for her. That had to be hard.

I still wonder why it is that no one bothered to bring up how Candace was the first to mutiny/betray her tribe, while all during the show she continued to call out Jonathan for being a rat adn disloyal. She did the exact same thing, but no one called her on it.

    > It will be interesting to see how having a final three affects the way they play the game in the future.

Assuming they have a final 3 in the future.

    > I see Ozzie as a very one-dimensional Survivor player -- he won the physical side of the game.

One dimensional as in winning a lot of challenges, catching fish, climbing trees to get coconuts to feed everyone? He did more than just about all the others in the game.

    > Sometimes personal integrity is worth $900K.

Easy to say when you aren't on the show... it's a GAME, people!

Very surprised he didn't win. I thought the votes would be well in his favor, not Yul, and not close. I was wrong.

Right after tribal, I came up with this:

Jonathan, Brad, Sundra, Jenny for Yul

Parvati, Adam, Candice, Nate for Ozzy.

    Rebecca was the swing.

As it turned out, I was really far off the mark as far as who voted for whom, but it did turn out to be a 5-4 scenario.

Who did you think was going to vote for Ozzy?

Wow, I cannot believe Ozzy lost. I really thought he had it in the bag, not only because he was so dominant but because he seemed to be the one with the least number of enemies in the jury.

Yul had pissed a lot of people off and Becky wasn't getting any votes from anyone for coattail-riding. But I guess the jury recognized Yul's ability to strategize like the best.

Really sad for Ozzy but good for Yul. Thinking about it with a cool head, he's as deserving as well.

If they ever do another Survivor All-star, those 2 have to be part of it. Heck, throw Jonathan as well for the entertainment factor.

Ozzy got a little cocky during the judging and revealed some things I think several in the jury didn't like. Jonathan called him on that. He seemed a little less genuine. When asked why he deserved the money: "Make the world a better place"? Heh! That's a line out of Jonathan's movie The Last Supper!! :p Hey, I liked Ozzy and probably would've voted for him given the chance because I relate to his style better. But I think his slightly cocky approach to the final questioning gave some on the jury a reason to rethink Yul's smarter gameplay approach and attitude during the judging. Yul said "yes" to that one question. He was honest at the end. It really is a tough choice because both excelled in the chosen approach to the game.

I agree, Ozzy and Yul in an All Star might make it worth watching. It would have to be better than the other All Star. That one sucked. This was a great season of the show. Very much enjoyed.

The reason I had Sundra voting for Ozzy was because they kept showing her winking at Ozzy in the Q&A at final TC. With the exception of Parvati (her vote was shown), I kinda figured that the rest of the vote went down ethnic lines, Yul picked up the Asian and Caucasian vote, while Ozzy picked up the Latino and African-American vote.

It looks like the votes came down like this:

    For Yul
    Candice - respected Yul's game
    Adam - Prior agreement
Jonathan - respected Yul's game and liked Yul
    Brad - friends with Yul

    For Ozzy
Jenny - from all reports disliked Yul, Brad, and Becky
Rebecca - ??? Possibly influenced by Nate?
    Nate - liked Ozzy
Parvati - according to Yul, he believed Parvati had a big crush on Ozzy and didn't think she'd keep to the FC vote agreement Adam did

Which leaves Sundra. Apparently, she was tighter with Yul and Becky than shown. She said that even if Becky had played Yul's HII at that TC, she still would have voted for Yul. I suspect that if she had won the final IC, she would have booted Ozzy, and would have probably done so even if Yul didn't have the HII.

A couple of multi-culti voting blocks, eh?

I'm hoping that the final three concept remains. It adds suspence to the final vote. Imagine previous Survivors with final threes: Exile Island-Terry, Aras, forgot the ladies name; Guatamala-Danielle, Steph, Raphe; Palau-Tom, Ian, forgot the ladies name. Those are all infinitely more interesting than what we ended up with.

I liked it a lot, too - I would have given anything for it to happen last season, and for Terry to have had a shot. However, I fear that it would just move the booting of the other "too strong" player at F4 instead of F3, leaving one strong player and two complete tools/useless types, because I can't imagine it actually working out this perfectly ever again if the contestants know it's coming. The finalists still won't want to go against Ozzys, Yuls, Terrys, Toms or Ians. They'll just pick more Katies, Stephenies (who was hated on that season) and Beckys.

I think Ozzy's dad story at the jury reminded everyone of Johnny Fairplay's grandmother... they probably didn't buy into it. I'm wondering what this "controversial" decision that America will be talking about is.

Maybe something to do with an idol found on exile island? Male player to hottie female player: "You go nude the rest of the season and I'll give you the idol." :p
