Yeah, while definitely hot, Jessie seemed to spend all her time either puking, looking like she was going to puke, or sitting staring at her canteen and thinking about puking.
However I do give her props for keeping the blood down. I thought for sure it'd hit bottom and come right back...
Next week: Yikes! I hope we don't see Tom in a thong!

I'm surprised that Tom that goat fu... err, I mean farmer, still has it in for Clarence!
I have a few theories as to why...
Clarence will go down easier in a tiebreaking situation. Of course, this also leaves his tribe vulnerable in case the tribes are equal when they merge. (Think last year when Kimmy spilled the beans) So they better keep their mouths shut about this...
Pretty good show so far.

I loved that reward challenge.
Seeing the blood pouring out of the cow was quite something.
Is it just me or would anyone else like to see the them go into the merger with one tribe having a clear advantage of 3 or so people. The strategy would get mighty interesting then.

I'll second what Gary said... I wonder how the PETA freaks are going to react to last nights episode.

Frankly, I don't care how PETA will handle themselves in light of last night's episode of Survivor.
You have to admit, drinking all that blood had to be pretty gross. I can't believe Kelly went ahead and drank the rest of the glass of blood after Linda had beaten her in the chug-a-blood contest.
I think Jessie got the boot because she was puking and stinking up the joint.

It does not bode well for female contestants of this Survivor or futre Survivor shows, especially in the early go-round. Most are focused in keeping the physically strong so they can get to the combined tribe with a larger majority within the combined tribe.
I'm still surprised there is no (vote) penalty for Kim Johnson for slipping at the end of the luxury challenge. I don't fault Kelly for not winning the chug-a-blood contest, you can't control your gag reflex in the heat of battle.
It seems Tom wants to make Clarence his whipping boy (he's oh so subtle with his "C.B." votes). If I were Clarence, I've stick Tom with a vote just for kicks.

I've started calling team Boran "Team Moron" (it makes it easier to separate the 2 teams in my head). I don't think Team Moron got weaker with their ejection of Jessie, but the viewers did lose some eye candy, and humor factor with her constant puking, of which Mark Burnett had no restraint in showing the viewers.

Now we're saddled with Tom the hillbilly for most of the humor on Team Moron.
Team Sanburo is totally in the driver seat. It's possible that they may not lose more than 2 people going into the combined tribes because Team Moron is so inept so far, and getting weaker every challenge.
I do think Carl and Frank overplayed their hand with Silas way too early because Silas is a snake, he appears to be a Colby (but with a libido).

By FAR the grossest show ever. The blood thing almost got my gag reflex going.

How hard is it. Take some time getting it down, throw a couple fake heaves in there and look sickly when you get back in line.
Why are you so sure that didn't happen? Linda looked pretty grossed out doing just the shot, but seemed to have no trouble at all chugging a glass full. If Boran had a brain cell to share amongst them, they would have picked Brandon to do it, who was visibly shaking when he did his shot...I'd bet he wouldn't have made it half way through a glass full. Not quite like doing shots of Peach Schnapps, eh Brandon? Link Removed

Pretty sick with the drinking of milk and blood. I don't think I could do that.
The people in this survior don't seem as cunning as last surviors' contestants. Alliances are being formed too early. These people don't know what's going to happen next.
And it looks like in next weeks episode that Spoiler:eek:ne of the gals from "the moron" tribe breaks a leg? That can't be good.
Now that Tom has voted for Clarence twice, if I were CB I would definately vote for Tom, just so that if he does make it deep in the contest, that vote will figure in. He has to know that he's not going to win, he seems to be in almost in the same position as Keith was in Survivor 2.

I think I'd have an easier time with the blood than with the brains, worms, and other ickies that contestants have been asked to eat. I can see where it would make some gag, though.

Holy smokes! What an upset!
Spoiler:Moron tribe won a great boulder race and their prize was 100 gallons of fresh water and some shampoo.
For the Immunity challenge, each tribe had to make a visible SOS sign so that a rescue plane could see it from the sky. Moron also won that challenge, so Samburu was forced to voted one out.
There's the old and the young group of 4, and Lindsay and Carl got 4 votes on the 1st vote, and on the revote after each stated their case as to why they should stay, each one got 3 votes (neither Lindsay or Carl voted). Then another tie-breaker was based on answering questions from the bush handbook, after 4 questions, Lindsay came up with the upset victory by getting that 4th questions correct while Carl didn't. So Carl was sent packing. This give the young'uns a majority to pick off all the old folks as the game goes on. This was definitely an upset.

Upset, surprise yes. This doesn't look good for the tribe that lost the immunity tonight. Patrick, you may have to rename Spoiler:Samburu to Dumburu. The four youg'uns better step up, or Moron could go to the merger with more members. Never would have thought that before today.

Actually, the one I can't really stand is Linda and her "you got to respect the spirits in Africa" mumbo jumbo. She's just too smug to stick around.
This might mean the end of the Sambo's if they can't pull it together. I now am more optimistic that the Moron tribe will get more of their members in the merge. I still think Silas screwed up because he's aligned himself with 3 weak players.

Yeah, I think Linda is most likely next to picked off by the young-uns. The preview of next weeks show looks interesting, more wild animals at Moron, and Linda ...
Jeff didn't even have to try hard at tribal council to see how divided the team is.

Missed the show again, because of work. I read up on CBS so I know the basics of this weeks show... The pilot chose Moron because their sign was in the middle of desert with no acacia trees around, while boran was in amongst the trees. I'm curious if this was because of the way the camps were laid out? I mean, was one camp out in the middle of nowhere with no trees and the other amongst the trees? Or did Moron go far from camp to make their SOS? If the camps were laid out that way, I wonder if that was a setup??

This was the worst of the three episodes. I find noone likeable on the Samburu tribe. Lindsey, Kim and Brandon are acting like they are in a sorority. Does Lindsey, although very pleasant to look at, think she can win this thing on arrogance alone. Brandon has no credibility. Kim is bland and is a follower. Silas is in love with himself and somewhat shallow. Frank is a jerk. Linda is psycho.
The wheels fell off this tribe fast just when it looked like the Boran tribe was a bunch of bumbling idiots. The generation gap has not been pleasant to watch. What happened to the concept of team work? By positioning himself as a possible swing vote, Silas is doomed. If he had sided with the oldies, they would have turned on him after kicking a couple of the young pups off. However by siding the youngies, he will eventually find himself vulnerable to the sister act of Lindsey, Kim and Brandon. How did many in this group of Survivors beat out the other contestants I ask?

Nah Paul, I don't think it was a set-up. It appeared both tribes could build their signal anywhere they wished. Samburu, with Silas' guidance decided to use the "O" of their protective fence as the O in SOS. Their signal did look pretty crappy as it didn't look much different than trees or any other village.
Boran used paints brought as a luxury item to color mosquito nets. They also walked out to a clearer area (it wasn't their camp) to do it. It did look better.
About the only "setup" you could probably legitimately accuse is that the IC was a non-athletic one which evens the playing field when one tribe is possibly exhausted.. though Boran did have fresh water for a full day because of the reward win so even that might not hold up completely.

I don't think Samburu will be winning many more challenges. They are too concerned with fighting amongst themselves to form a cohesive team. It is too early to be forming such obvious alliances, this is the time to get rid of the weakest members for the good of the team.
I thought the Boron signal was hilarious, reminded me of "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert".

One lasting indelible mark etched in my mind of Survivor 3 will be those shots of Thomas with the feather stuck in his fuzzed out butt.
Remember, Survivor is not all about who's the strongest, it's motto is "Outwit, outplay, outlast". So for this immunity challenge, Moron tribe simply outwitted the Sambo tribe. I have no problem with these types of challenges sprinkled into the mix. How about last week's immunity challenge: drinking cow's blood? How truly physical and grueling is that? It's not. It's about getting your mind to accept that task at hand.
