My front soundstage is all Klipsch (like the horn sound, so sue me), I use the system for mostly Movies, and plan on going 7.1. The room is not ideal, with the couch against the back wall (no I can't move it out from the wall). I will mount my sides about 3ft above and directly to the sides of the listening position (one will be by necessity a 2-3 ft further away from the sweet spot then the other). My back centers will be mounted on the back wall facing down (slight angle) at the listening position.

My ideas for this space are as follows: Gallo Dues for the sides and Micros for the back (timbre matching and small size); M&K Xenon 35's on the sides and surround 25's (Tri-polar) in the back because of size, quality and some dispersion of sound field from the surrounds along the back. I have also been thinking about the axiom zeros and their smallest surrounds in the back. Please give me your opinions, comments or insults.

    Thanks

    David
