Surround Speakers question???

    I understand the need for center and fronts to be of the same manufacture as you want them to sound similar. But is this really critical on surrounds, or will almost any quality brand do???[​IMG]

    Maybe not "critical", but IMO it's very important. Depends on how fanatical you are about HT. I always could tell there was a problem with the wrong speakers back there..

    The LCR matchup is mroe critical but if you also have SL, SC, and SR that match then so much the better. When objects pan from one position to the other, the timbre will match. Just remember to try to keep the tweeters all at the same level or, if this is not possible, then aim them all at ear level in the seated position.
