Surround Speaker Placement (1 Viewer)

Because of a huge window in my living room (soon to be quasi-home theater) I can't place my surround speakers the recommended 2-3ft above the listener (as suggested on Dolby's site). Instead, it would be something like 4-6ft above. Do you guys think this would work?

That is fine. What you could try doing also is aiming the speaker down a little bit to compensate for the height.

If your surrounds are direct radiators,you could angle them up to the ceiling.I did this at my old house and it worked pretty well to diffuse the sound.
