    Just how important is voice/timbre matching for the surround back speakers in a 7.1 setup?

    Timbre matching is ALWAYS inportant.

    Ahhhhh YESSS the ... TIMBRE MATCHING Very Important!!! That's what my HOME THEATER GURU Hubby tells me :wink:

    I don't know about guru, but the wife now understands what timbre matching means.

    FYI: The creator of Dolby Digital wrote in their ... "FAQ about Dolby Digital" ...


    Many are now applying the same recommendation in their home HT's by re-creating the same sonic seamless surround environment (at the very least identical speakers for the Front, Side and Rear Center Channel locations w/timbre-matched Center) that was used to design the blockbuster DD/DTS-5.1/6.1 surround mix!
